SmartKode is a technology start up project for which I worked on as Graphic, UI and UX designer. The application was based on the Twitter Bootstrap framework because of its responsiveness across web, tablet and mobile. Design work was carried out in Dublin while I also managed updates from our development team in China.
The project involved taking the existing SK product and redesigning its brand look/feel and user flows to include elements such as the latest location technologies (iBeacon/estimote).
Other design considerations for the application included; responsiveness, consistent UI/UX experience for various user types/flows across sister applications such ad the SmartKode Merchant App.
For the marketing and promotion of the SK product a friendlier and more accessible art direction was employed. The purpose was so we could communicate the complex and varied functionality of the product while not boring or loosing the clients attention. The approach was to follow a path tried by other software products such as MailChimp and Dropbox.
Fuchsia Macaree was the illustrator employed for the project.
